Kursk State Medical University (also known as KSMU) is located in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It was established in 1935 and received university status in 1994. Despite the decision to establish the Institute of Medicine in 1935, the university building’s construction was completed in 1940. Between December 1941 and January 1944, the institution moved to Almaty and became part of the Kazakh Medical Institute. The university reopened in 1944.
